TECHNICAL INFORMATION
- This site is built according to the W3C's XHTML 1.0 Transitional DTD.
- Parts of this site's XHTML will not validate however, due to the use of the <embed> and <object> tags associated with the Flash SWF files included in the site.
- This site uses CSS for layout construction and design elements.
- PNG image files with transparency are used for the page headers. These types of files may not appear as desired in older web browsers.
- PHP is used to process the contact page form.
- Flash CS3 was used to build interactive portfolio elements on this site. SWF files use ActionScript 3 as their scripting language. Adobe Flash Player 9 or greater is required to view all SWF files.
[ Download Flash Player ] - The Current Projects and Portfolio pages use Javascript's XMLHttpRequest object to provide asynchronous downloads of page elements between the client and server. No XML is used, however straight HTML data is loaded into respective <div> elements.
- This site has been tested in both Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.11 and Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7. All Javascript and CSS function appropriately in both browsers.
DESIGN ELEMENTS
- The typeface used in the page headers is Twentieth Century (Tw Cen MT). Twentieth Century is also used in all SWF files, and in the PDF version of my résumé.

- The color scheme for the overall site (excluding variations on the portfolio page) is based on tints and shades of the orange / blue complementary pair.
